Abortion was legalized in 1973, and there were approximately 5 million abortions performed from 1973 to 1978. The sexual revolution of the 1960s was rampant. Thankfully, the Jesus
Revolution filled a void; many people came to Christ, but many women found themselves unmarried and pregnant.

These were days of no resources, such as crisis pregnancy centers or education programs. Women were lied to and told that what they were carrying was just a clump of cells. There are now millions of these women who had abortions in the 1970s who walk among us.

• Most now range in age from 65 to 80, and MOST ARE GUARDING THEIR SECRET VERY CAREFULLY.
• Many are grandmothers and great-grandmothers by now.
• They sit by us in church.
• They are in our Bible Studies.
• They may be in our inner circle of friendships.
• They may not have accepted our Lord and Savior yet.
• Many are still hurting.
• They’re afraid others will discover their secret.

HOWEVER, there is forgiveness and healing in Christ. You may be one of what Laura calls her senior sisters and they have been carrying the burden of your choice(s) for too long.
